  • Bisque and Biscuits (April 4)

Saturday, April 4| 6:00-8:00 p.m. Harmons Station Park Cooking School Chef Laura Set sail for a night that’s smooth sailing from start to finish. In this class, we’re diving headfirst into seafood bisque — a rich, velvety soup that proves bisque is more about flavor depth than fancy titles. You’ll work with fresh seafood and learn chef skills that build big, briny flavor, all while keeping things fun, approachable, and shipshape. This isn’t a “throw it in the pot and hope for the best” situation. We’ll navigate stocks, balance the tides of cream and seasoning, and steer straight toward a bisque that’s full-bodied, comforting, and worthy of a cheerful hoorah from the galley. If you think you know cheddar and chive biscuits, prepare to be rocked! Our recipe will knock the others out of the water. How about we wrap up your night with bacon wrapped scallops? No need to test the waters of your techniques here, we will have you searing and scalloping with the best of 'em. You'll castaway and enjoy a fun, special evening indulging in some of the best Harmons seafood department has to offer. Menu: Fisherman Jake's Lobster Bisque Bacon Wrapped Scallops Cheddar and Chive Biscuits Seats are priced per person. Please list any dietary restrictions in the comment section. To receive a refund or credit, cancellations must be submitted no less than 48 hours before the class begins. Please contact the school at 07cookingschool@harmonsgrocery.com or 801-928-2635 with any questions.

Join us for a taste of the tropics and a class that’s sure to send you sailing! Tiki culture began with Ernest Gantt who, at a very young age, already wandered to many parts of the world. He went from the vibrant islands of the Caribbean to the distant waters of South Pacific and beyond. He immersed himself in the cultures and traditions and came back to the States with a suitcase full of exotic souvenirs and an extensive knowledge of the far-away lands. This was something most Americans could only dream of. Inspired by his adventures, he opened a small restaurant/bar, influenced by his exotic finds. • Daiquiris & Cubanos, 21+ (May 1)

Friday, May | 6:00-8:00 p.m. Harmons Station Park Cooking School Chef Laura Cuba has a fascinating history. The 'pearl of the Antilles'; Cuba has been a cultural powerhouse and known as a land of paradise. Americans once described Cuba as 700 miles of playground. Opulent hotels, new Ford automobiles, Yacht clubs and state-of-the-art infrastructure once scattered the capital of Havana in the 1950's. These days, you can't book a flight to Havana and so we will bring the vibrancy to you. Cubanos (or a cuban sandwich) is a pressed, salty pork sandwich with tangy mustard and melty Swiss cheese. Pair that with an icy-cold, freshly shaken sugary daiquiri and you'll be transported to somewhere with better dance music and fewer responsibilities. Menu: Freshly pressed Cuban sandwich Daiquiri's Plantain Chips Cuban Churros What to expect in a Harmons Cooking School class: You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. • Recipes That Raised You (May 9)

Saturday, May 9 | 6:00-8:00 p.m. Harmons Station Park Cooking School Chef Laura Do you want a Mother's Day experience that is cozy, sentimental, and you don't have to cook or clean? You're finally in the right place. This evening serves as a love letter to those familiar flavors that raised you- meatloaf, chicken noodle soup, food that made everything feel like it was going to be okay. Sometimes, the most meaningful meal isn't the fanciest one, or the busiest one, it's the one that reminds you of home. Let us cook, bring your Mom, stay a while. Our Cooking School is a welcoming, elevated atmosphere. Our Menu: "Micro Brunch": Smoked wild Alaskan salmon over croissant with warm hollandaise, microgreens, and poached egg. Fresh seasonal fruit. Chicken Noodle Soup: Bone broth, mirepoix, shredded chicken, handmade wheat noodles. "Grown Up Lunchable" Creminelli Prosciutto, house-made burrata, basil and balsamic glaze. Glazed pork loin- with braised apple a-la-Florence Henderson. Shepherds Meatloaf Pie: Chef Laura's British-American heritage on a plate: tomato-glazed meatloaf, braised vegetables, creamy mashed potatoes with decadent, melted cheese. White Cake: Cake batter cake with chantilly frosting, an homage to every Mom who's baked that birthday cake. What to expect in a Harmons Cooking School class: You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment. Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted above. You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. • Tiki Tuesday, 21+ (May 12)

Tuesday, May 12 | 6:00-8:00 p.m. Harmons Station Park Cooking School Chef Laura Ready for change of culinary scenery? Join us for a taste of the tropics and a class that’s sure to send you sailing! Tiki culture began with Ernest Gantt who, at a very young age, already wandered to many parts of the world. He went from the vibrant islands of the Caribbean to the distant waters of South Pacific and beyond. He immersed himself in the cultures and traditions and came back to the States with a suitcase full of exotic souvenirs and an extensive knowledge of the far-away lands. This was something most Americans could only dream of. Inspired by his adventures, he opened a small restaurant/bar, influenced by his exotic finds. Join us as we recreate the tiki magic from what became known as Don the Beachcomber's. Menu: Sticky Coconut Rice Island-Style Pork Coconut Shrimp Wok-fired pineapple rings Painkillers and Pina Coladas What to expect in a Harmons Cooking School class: You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. • Cheeseburger in Paradise (May 14)

Thursday, May 14 | 6:00-8:00 p.m. Harmons Station Park Cooking School Chef Laura If you didn't know, Cheeseburger in Paradise is a beloved tune by the late, great Jimmy Buffett. Imagine yourself stranded away from land, forced to eat whatever you have stowed away on your boat. The story goes this fate did meet our ol' pal Jimmy, and as soon as him and the crew made it back to land, they raced to the nearest burger joint and chowed down. Our tribute to this song and the legacy of Mr. Buffett is cleverly translated into a fun, engaging cooking class for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
