Harmons Cooking School

Chef Stephanie Cardinal

Chef Stephanie grew up in Montreal’s Little Italy, where neighborhood restaurants and bakeries became her extended kitchen. Her mom, who balanced work and life while running a local business, made a point of taking her to local spots every day. Surrounded by flavor, Stephanie appreciated that food wasn’t just something you ate; it was culture, adventure, and connection. Family vacations revolved around restaurants, and dinnertime conversations always started before breakfast.

That early obsession grew into a career. For the past eleven years, Stephanie has led classes across the country designed to make unfamiliar flavors and techniques approachable and exciting. Known for her energy and humor, she admits her family is on permanent taste-test duty, though they rarely protest. Baking, food science, and international flavors are her specialties, but she brings equal passion to everything from weeknight dinners to globally inspired feasts.

Joining Harmons was a perfect fit: she loves the community, the foodie culture, and the fact that the store carries everything; even the most obscure ingredients. When she’s not teaching, Stephanie explores Utah’s canyons with her family, finding inspiration in nature, or watching technical cooking shows with a spicy snack in hand. The most rewarding part of her job? Seeing students light up in the kitchen and knowing she’s sparked a little culinary adventure in their own homes.
