    Saturday, May 2 @ 5:00-7:00 p.m. Harmons Bangerter Crossing Cooking School Chef Mark Benson Step into the soul of Athens and experience the joy of making and eating authentic Greek Gyros (pronounced "YEE-ro") in this hands-on cooking class. Chef Mark will walk you through marinating Pork, Chicken, and Beef Souvlaki and roasting them on a skewer with vegetables and making pita bread from scratch. You will have your choice of creating a Gyro topped with Tzatziki or serving your Souvlaki over a bed of aromatic rice and a refreshing salad of herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers and feta. Come and make new friends in our immersive class and leave with the confidence to recreate this meal at home for your friends and family. Chef Mark will demonstrate how simple it is to make pasta dough with a few simple pantry ingredients and empower you to make your own from home anytime! Our focus in this class will be on preparing Shrimp in two ways: The first preparation will be "Fra Diavolo", shrimp cooked in a spicy tomato sauce made with red pepper flakes, white wine, and fresh herbs. For the second preparation, you will learn how to make Scampi, a bright combination of butter, garlic, white wine, lemon, and parsley. Harmons fresh baguette slices will be served to help clean up the sauces from the bowl! To finish off the evening, a refreshing bowl of Harmons Sorbetto will be served.     Wednesday, May 20 @ 6:00-8:00 p.m. Harmons Bangerter Crossing Cooking School Chef Mark Benson Join the Harmons cooking school as they introduce you to more aromatic, fresh Thai cuisine featuring Pad Thai and Chicken Satay. The class will begin with refreshing Chef prepared Thai lettuce wraps and a brief introduction to the foundations of Thai cuisine: the balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy. In this class you will learn how to build Pad Thai step by step while your senses are filled with the aromas of fresh lime, tamarind, garlic, and peanuts. Paired with this dish will be Chicken Satay marinated in coconut and spices, paired with a tangy, spicy peanut sauce. To finish it off you will be served Mango Sorbet from the Harmons Cafe.
