  • Junior Chef 4 Day Camp: Teen Takeover (July 20)

    Monday, July 20 - Thursday, July 23 | 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Harmons Traverse Mountain Cooking School Chef Sterling Join us for an immersive, four-day culinary journey designed specifically for teens. This isn't just about following recipes; it’s about mastering the science of flavor and the art of plating. Ending in a friendly "mystery basket" challenge on the final day Ages: 13-15 years old Date: Monday, July 20th through Thursday, July 23rd 2026 Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, daily Skills and Techniques: Learn basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety Work as a team to prepare and serve delicious food the right way Day 1- Knife Skills- Making and taking a big batch of Chicken Fajitas. They will make enough to eat for lunch and will take the rest home raw to cook in front of their families. As well as making Horchata, rice and beans Day 2- A Big Pizza Pie- Learning how to make and toss their own pizza dough, sauce from scratch, assorted toppings and a dessert pizza Day 3- Cakes and Cookies- Learn how to properly make, bake and decorate a cake. Each student will make their own cakes, butter cream frosting and shown how to use a piping bag. Day 4- Market Basket Challenge with prizes for the winning team Seats are priced per person. What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class: You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment. Classes time is noted above. Kids will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class. Please have them wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back, please for safety precautions have kids wear long pant, and short sleeves are okay, but not sleeveless.

Join us for a hands-on class where grown-ups and their star kitchen partners will prepare both new and traditional party favorites that are must-haves for your backyard parties!  Learn how to create easy, crowd-pleasing snacks that can be made while entertaining friends and soaking in the summer rays.
