• Yucatán Night: A Tulum-Inspired Taco Experience 21+ (June 2)

June 2nd |6-8pm | 21+ Holladay Market Chef Tara Walker Transport yourself to the Yucatán Peninsula for a vibrant, hands-on cooking experience inspired by the coastal flavors of Tulum. In this class, you’ll work in teams to build a bold and balanced taco feast—layering bright citrus, smoky chiles, fresh herbs, and crisp textures. At the heart of the menu is Cochinita Pibil, a traditional Yucatecan dish with deep roots in Mayan cooking. You’ll learn how to recreate these flavors using modern methods while preparing fresh accompaniments like vibrant salsas, pickled onions, and a refreshing ceviche. Menu Shrimp Ceviche with Watermelon & Coconut Cochinita Pibil (Citrus & Achiote Pork Shoulder) Pickled Red Onions Roasted Salsa Verde Margaritas (mocktail option available) All guests must be 21 years of age or older. • Indian Chicken Tikka Masala (June 10)

Wednesday, June 10 @ 6pm - 8pm Harmons Bangerter Crossing Cooking School Chef Mark Benson Join the Harmons Cooking School Team as they introduce you to one of the most common dishes you’ll see on most Indian restaurant menus. However, did you know that Tikka Masala was actually created in Great Brittian sometime in the 1960s or 70’s, likely by a Pakistani immigrant that was looking to adapt the popular dish, Butter chicken, to the local palate. Tikka Masala wouldn’t be complete without a bowl of Basmati rice and warm, freshly made Naan bread. To cool the spices of the Tikka Masala, you’ll learn how to make Raita, a yogurt-based sauce that balances this robust dish. To complete the meal, Chef Mark will demonstrate how to make Saag Paneer, a spinach dish cooked with firm Paneer cheese, and you’ll wash the meal down with a chef prepared Mango lassi dessert! Menu: Chicken Tikka Masala Naan Bread Saag Paneer Basmati Rice Raita Mango Lassi (Chef Prepared) Seats are priced per person. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to class time. Please list any dietary restrictions in the comment section. To receive a refund or credit, cancellations must be submitted no less than 48 hours before the class begins.
Thursday, June 11 | 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Harmons Station Park Cooking School

Chef Laura

Give your young chef a real taste of culinary school—no long-term commitment required. In one high-energy night, we’ll pack in foundational techniques that real chefs use every day. They’ll emulsify a silky hollandaise, learn to sear scallops and steak like a pro, and finish it all with a beurre blanc. We'll also impart some techniques on cleaning as you go, making the most efficient use of their time in the kitchen. Hey, if they are going to take over the kitchen and make a mess... they might as well make something delicious.

What You’ll Cook:
Hollandaise and Asparagus
Bérnaise and Steak
Beurre Blanc and Scallop

NOTE: If you would like to attend as a chaperone, please write so in the note box on your order.

What to expect in a hands-on Harmons Cooking School class:

You’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
You will be working in small groups, sharing workstations and equipment.
Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours unless otherwise noted above.
You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class.
